Music-COMP serves about 7000 students each year to explore music composition in music classrooms and independently at home. The program involves professional composer mentors who respond to student work-in-progress pieces posted in an online forum. Students from grades 4-12 are composing original works for strings and woodwinds. 24 of these student pieces were selected for a performance at the Opus 26 concert that was held at the Historic Haskell Opera House in Derby Line, VT.
