From the Chittenden County Historical Society: Join Breck Knauft, Executive Director, The Vermont Youth Conservation Corps (VYCC), and Eliot Lothrop, Principal, Building Heritage, at the Fletcher Library, for a talk on the history of this organization, as well as an in depth look at the restoration of the East Monitor Barn. Since its founding in 1985, VYCC has enrolled over 6,500 youth and young adults in paid service experiences that focus on outdoor projects that benefit all Vermonters. The pair give us an inside look at the current restoration of the East Monitor Barn in Richmond. Earlier this year, Building Heritage, in partnership with VYCC, began restoration of this historic structure that was built in 1901.
