This presentation is based off of the 12 minute Stormwater video.  Original video bitrate is listed as

  • Bit rate                                 : 4 222 Kbps
  • Nominal bit rate                  : 6 000 Kbps
  • This seems close to 5Mbps that we wanted to test

The upper video is the original mp4 and the transcoded webm, both at 720p.

The lower video is an mp4 and a webm transcoded down to 480p based on the original 720p mp4.  This lower video is hopefully viewable by our DSL viewers and should work fine on a phone and maybe a small tablet.

So I'm looking for feedback on

  1. bitrate: does the top version look crisp enough blown up on a big screen?
  2. playbackability: can the lower video be played by folks who were seeing a lot of stuttering before?

Note that the final presentation will look different, we're still testing the basic operation of the system.
