This will be a kid-friendly, drop in anytime, open house format meeting and light refreshments will be provided.

Where:  Fieldhouse in Bombardier Park West, 20 Park Place, Milton

When: Wednesday, June 19, 6pm-8pm

Project Background:

Milton’s population is approximately 10,940 residents (census estimate, July 2017) within a 51.38 square mile boundary located northwestern Chittenden County. The most recent Recreation Master Plan was adopted by the Milton Selectboard in 2007 and much has evolved, grown and changed over the past twelve years. The goal of this project is to develop and update a community-driven plan that provides guidance and a blueprint for future development and redevelopment of the Town's parks, recreation programming, staffing, trails, facilities and economic development. The updated Recreation Master Plan will guide policy development, delivery of town services, prioritize demand and opportunities, and generate a strategic action plan. It will support redevelopment opportunities through a needs assessment using population growth, public demand, community preferences and priorities. In addition, the project will seek to incorporate energy efficiency and other sustainability strategies, opportunities to collaborate with other entities, accessibility issues, and capital repairs and replacements.
