You’re invited to The BIG Night In
Now more than ever, kids need mentors. But our local Big Brothers Big Sisters programs had to cancel all in-person fundraising events!
This is where you come in.... Join us for The BIG Night In, and donate the cost of an activity you might normally go out for, such as a dinner, coffee with a friend, a movie, or bowling.
If you want to have some fun with this, re-create your favorite outing at home, then share a photo or video on our social media and send a challenge to your friends.
Here are some ideas: create an at-home concert, dance party, or movie night; design a new mocktail or meal from pantry items, or host a Virtual Bowl for Kids’ Sake tournament.
Gift certificates to local shops and restaurants will be awarded for the largest fundraisers, most creative ideas, and highest virtual bowling scores.
The event kicks off May 1 and runs through May 30. Live online events will enable supporters to share and see what others are doing for The Big Night In, and hear about what it’s like to volunteer as a Big Brother or Sister. Groups can also register and participate as a team.
To donate, sponsor, join the live events, fundraise or register a team, visit www.bbbsvt.org and choose from a variety of options. Participants will be able to post their photos, stories, videos, or recipes before or during the live events.
