Panel Discussion on Sex Offender Status, Treatment, and Accountability in Vermont --  Vermonters for Criminal Justice Reform (VCJR) and the Network of Community Justice Centers in Chittenden County (Burlington, Essex, South Burlington, Williston, & Winooski) present a panel discussion about a Restorative Reintegration Program called Circles of Support and Accountability (CoSA) available to sex offenders coming out of prison by Community Justice Centers across Vermont. This panel followed a screening of the film "Untouchable" about child sex offenders and the creation of sex offender registries in the US. There is also a Q&A about the situation here in Vermont. Panel members include: Bess O’Brien, currently filming a documentary here in Vermont about the CoSA Program; Kathy Fox, Associate Dean at UVM who has done research on the CoSA Program; Gary Marvel, VT Treatment Program for Sexual Aggressors Chief, VT Department of Corrections; Toni Monsey, Development Psychologist and Advocate; and Sharon Fialco, Advocate and Volunteer Member of a Circle of Support and Accountability in VT.
