Lifelines 0087

Lifelines is an educational, pro-life issue oriented program focusing on current events and topics. www.vrlc.net This program examines the University of Vermont Medical Center’s radical policy change regarding performing abortions; to now include all elective abortions. The previous, decades-old policy limited abortions on hospital premises to rare cases deemed “medically necessary”; for example, to save the life of the mother. The Medical Center’s Board of Trustees, chaired by Allie Stickney, the former CEO of abortion giant, Planned Parenthood (Northern New England branch), set the new policy and put it into effect without even notifying hospital staff. As a health care organization dedicated to compassionate healing, the new policy seems contradictory. The program presents an online petition for those objecting to the policy.

This program is part 1 (1/2 hr) of Ryan's presentation at the Rally for Life in Montpelier in January. Ryan Bomberger, the keynote speaker at the 2018 Vermont Right to Life Rally in Montpelier, has a unique perspective of the innate nature of Purpose. His biological mother was raped, yet courageously gave him a chance to live and the beautiful gift of adoption. He was adopted at 6 weeks of age and grew up in a loving, multi-racial Christian family of 15. With siblings of varying ethnicities, he grew up with a great appreciation for diversity. Ten of the thirteen children were adopted in this remarkable family. His life defies the myth of the “unwanted” child as he was adopted, loved and has flourished. Lifelines 0082

Entitled Life Matters, the program sets forth the fundamental truth of the inherent dignity of every human person. It goes on to explore how abortion, assisted suicide, and euthanasia disregard that dignity by destroying the precious gift of life of each of its victims. The program concludes that a society that destroys its preborn children, its very future, as well as certain of its elderly, where true wisdom often resides, will not continue to grow and flourish. However, individuals involved in any of these destructive practices can find mercy, forgiveness, and healing through programs such as Project Rachel.

This program traces its history and legacy during that period. Conclusion: The fact that Planned Parenthood has turned 100 is an indictment against our nation, not a cause for celebration. Though babies, minorities, and women have been targeted most directly by its unrelenting assault on life, we have all been harmed by its being allowed to grow its grisly business funded by our tax dollars and allowed by our indifference. Let this anniversary be a reminder to all of us to increase our efforts ithrough peaceful activism to end Planned Parenthood’s reign of destruction.
