Founded on December 4th, 1969, by bassist, composer, band leader and occasionally lead singer JUAN FORMELL, his brain child project Los Van Van (The Go Go), arrived with a new concept : El Songo,  shaped on the way, by Formell, pianist  Cesar "Pupi" Pedroso and multi-percussionist "Changuito" Quintana. Their conversation continues !

Musicians from Cuba, the US and Puerto Rico recreate the sounds of the "Three Empires through Jazz", tracing the music from its role in the culture and daily life. Live in Concert,  in the Studio, and walking down the streets of Havana, they display the individual voices  of  four composers : Harold López-Nussa and Rembert Duharte from Cuba, Stefon Harris and Christian Scott from the US and David Sánchez from Puerto Rico !
