Grand Isle Road Pitch 2015-08-06
The Grand Isle County stop of the FreshTracks Road Pitch series, which sends "business bikers" on a four-day motorcycle trip around Vermont where they hold "office hours" in select towns, stopping by appointment to listen to business pitches from start-up or early stage companies. Hosted by the Snow Farm Vineyard and Winery in South Hero and sponsored by the Lake Champlain Islands Economic Development Corporation.
Road Pitch 2016-08-05
Road Pitch was founded in 2014 by Cairn Cross, co-founder and managing director of FreshTracks Capital. The event is a multi-day motorcycle trip around Vermont where a pack of motorcycle riders with investing, entrepreneurial/business and business advisory experience ride together and stop in small towns where “Local Hosts” have organized a pitch session for entrepreneurs to pitch their business ideas to the group.
Opus 30 2015-04-29
Opus 30 presented by Music-COMP (Music Composition Online Mentoring Program) on April 29, 2015 at Chandler Center for the Arts in Randolph, Vermont. The 30th Opus concert features works composed for string & wind instruments by 25 students from around the state. This program includes interviews with students about their work & excerpts from their rehearsals with professional musicians. Island Arts helped celebrate native history, art, and culture on Saturday, August 18th. The Native American Community and friends conducted blessings, ceremonies, lectures on native history, dancing, arts and craft exhibits, drumming, singing and storytelling.
