Lifelines 0094

Lifelines is an educational, pro-life issue oriented program focusing on current events and topics. www.vrlc.net Mary Hahn Beerworth, Executive Director of Vermont Right to Life analyzes two bills recently passed by the Democrat-controlled, Vermont legislature that have horrific, destructive implications for human life at its earliest stages. H.57, the Unrestricted Abortion Bill, enables the abortion of pre-born babies right to their birthdates for any reason whatsoever. Common- sense amendments, such as parental notification for minor girls and informed consent, went down to defeat. Proposition 5 calls for an amendment to the Vermont constitution to “ensure that every Vermonter is afforded reproductive liberty.” The intent: to enshrine abortion, in other words, “reproductive liberty”, in the constitution. These two measures qualify Vermont as the most radical state in the U.S., in terms of the annihilation of the most innocent and vulnerable among us and our most precious resource, our youth, in a rapidly- aging state.
