Old Country Fiddler

The Old Country Fiddle: Charles Ross Taggert, Vermont's Traveling Entertainer, a presentaion by fiddler Adam Boyce at Georgia Public Library and sponsored by the Vermont Humanities Council. Having grown up in Tosham, VT, Charles Ross Taggert went on to a 40-year career performing in countless stage shows across the country including the famous Red Path Chautauqua circuit. Boyce portrays Taggert near the end of his career, circa 1939, sharing recollections of his life and career interspersed with live fiddling and humorous sketches.

Battle of Gettsburgh

The Georgia Historical Society presented 150th Anniversary of the Battle of Gettsburgh 1863 on July 17 at Georgia Public Library. Georgia's General George Stannard led the charge in command of the 2nd Vermont Brigade that could have been the turning point in the Civil War.
