VCRD Working Landscape 0003

Vermont Council on Rural Development explores Vermont's working lnadscape in a three part series of discussions and speakers in Montpelier. The Vermont Council for Rural Development sponsored this State House summit of more than 300 people from agriculture, forestry, business, and public policy. The day highlighted the continuing crisis that is fragmenting the working landscape in Vermont and unveiled bold new steps to reverse this trend. The Summit also launched a new nonpartisan and broad-based partnership to support local agriculture and forestry, grow and attract farm and forest entrepreneurs, and conserve Vermont’s Working Landscape far into the future. These three shows include the opening comments from Gov. Shumlin, several members of the Douglas administration, and other elected officials, as well as roundtable discussions and panel presentations held in the House Chamber.
